We left Skilak Hidden Lake and continued down the dirt road for 18 miles. Despite the warnings at the entrance to the road we didn’t really need the 4WD, unfortunately. We stopped at a few places to look at marshy lakes and hillsides and bear droppings.

Bright sunshine all day. At breakfast our hostess Pamela mentioned that she’d had a notification from Google of a link to her website (Hi Pamela!) from this blog.
