R spent most of the day in bed with ‘flu.  J went for a walk in the morning, then we both went into town at lunch time.  The source of some distant rumbling sounds heard from the hotel earlier was revealed to be a hot-rod rally in the car park of the Ark Royal pub.  [...]

We left the Crown, East Rudham after a full English and headed for Titchwell RSPB reserve.  In East Rudham the morning was bright and sunny and the ground and car had a thick layer of frost; closer to the coast it was less frosty.  At Titchwell we walked down to the sea through the reserve.  [...]
